You will notice that there have been changes to certain flight schedules as well as the opening of new theme parks!

1. The Flight Situation: Confirm Before You Commute

Regional Tensions: As of mid-March 2026, airspace across the Middle East remains restricted due to regional conflict.

Status at DXB & DWC: Both Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC) are open. Airlines are gradually restoring schedules, though some international carriers remain affected by regional airspace restrictions

Golden Rule: Do not go to the airport unless you have a confirmed flight booking and a flight operations message.

2. Security Situation (Important Update)

  1. There have been drone and missile incidents linked to the Iran conflict.
  2. Debris from intercepted drones has hit buildings in Dubai.
  3. Authorities increased security around financial districts.

This does NOT mean Dubai is unsafe, but travelers should be aware of the following: – 

  1. Regional tensions exist
  2. some governments issued travel advisories .

Example: The UK advised avoiding non-essential travel temporarily due to regional conflict risks

3. Emergency Visa Relief: A 30-Day Grace Period

Automatic Extensions: If your tourist or visit visa expired between 28 February 31 March 2026, you have been automatically granted an extension of thirty days.

4.Weather & Packing: The Sweet Spot

Current Highs: Temperatures are averaging around 26°C to 27°C . It is advisable to pack light loose linen. During the night on board the dhow cruises and during desert safaris it can also be quite cool.
